Kevin Tracy is an interdisciplinary artist based in Bozeman, Montana, and an MFA candidate at Montana State University, where he is the recipient of the Crawford Wildlife Habitat Graduate Fellowship and the Mary Edsall McLaughlin Award. His work begins with locally sourced clay and extends the concept of “earth-flavor” (tsuchi-aji) into video, performance, and installation. Through material investigation and site-responsive processes, his practice explores the relationships between place, extraction, and transformation. His work has been exhibited nationally, and he received the Surface Design Association’s Outstanding Student Award in 2021.
